Established in 2006, PVR NEST is the trust of PVR INOX Limited, and one of India’s earliest corporate-led initiatives focused on inclusive urban development. Working at the intersection of public infrastructure and community wellbeing, PVR NEST partners with government bodies and civil society to transform neglected public spaces into safe, functional, and empowering environments for women, children, and marginalised communities.
Rooted in the belief that public infrastructure shapes social outcomes, PVR NEST focuses on dignity-led design, community ownership, and long-term sustainability. Our programmes address interconnected urban challenges spanning sanitation, health, nutrition, education, safety, skilling, and livelihoods.
Operating across 35 urban slum communities, PVR NEST manages 11 community centres, including Pink Centres and Garima Grih, which collectively witness an annual footfall of over one million women, girls, trans women, children, and elderly persons. These centres function as trusted hubs enabling access to essential services, safety, dignity, and economic opportunities.
All initiatives are designed for scalability and replication through strong public–private partnerships and are closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, particularly those advancing health, education, gender equality, and inclusive urban development.
